The Ho!Ho!Ho! GI blog train is taking off!!

All aboard!!!!! Welcome to the last blog train of 2010 for Gothic Inspirations!! This month's theme is all about Christmas and holidays, so make sure to stop on by this AWESOME train we have designed for your snagging pleasure and addiction!! We have PU kits as well as some fantastic CU items, all for free!! When you stop by each blog, be sure to leave some luv' that way we know you've stopped by to snag away! Besides, it's the holiday season, and it's just the right thing to do! Before getting to my portion, I just want share a personal note with those of you who follow regularly, and those who are stopping by for the very first time. The last 5 weeks have been the toughest, most stressful weeks I have experienced in a VERY long time. The last time I had to deal with any sort of drama, was when my Daddy died 5 years ago. I was able to see that time through while I was on my psych meds, which I've been off of completely for 3 years now for my bipolar. I have my good days and bad days still, but have learned to understand and recognize my triggers for my mania. Weather happens to be a HUGE trigger for me. When the storms hit last month, I thought we were all going to die. As we have slowly moved on from that point in time, I have started falling back on my faith more, and it's helped to ease the stress and struggle we continue to face while piecing our house and lives back together. Between the baseball size hail, and the tornado right across from the house (still unconfirmed, though all signs are there that we did have one), it's been one crazy ride for sure. I can't begin to express the gratitude and appreciation I have for the digi-designing community, both designers and snaggers alike. It's folk like you that have helped with prayers and encouragement when I thought life was just going to overwhelm me. I still struggle, but today is easier than yesterday, and tomorrow will be even better. I thank you all from the bottom of my wee lil' heart for your love, prayers, encouragement, and support. Those two words seem so insignificant with what has been done for us, but all I am able to find at this moment. And now.... ~~* Snag my portion here *~~ Other stops on this awesome train... New Home

Wow, never thought I would come out and create my own blog, but I couldn't resist! A lil' bit about me: I'm a proud SAHM (stay at home momma) to a beautiful boy, William, who's 4 years old. Hubby and I have come to accept the fact that there's something very different, very unique, very special about this lil guy of ours. He has autism. Yeppers, I have finally accepted the fact that this angel of ours has a different look on life than most others do. However, there's nothing wrong with him. There's nothing "abnormal" about him. He's just got his brain wired in a completely different direction than what you and I have. That's it! He's found other things more important to him than what other children his age have come to discover. He doesn't speak much on his own. He spends a majority of his time "in his own world", playing and catagorizing his toys (mainly all his Hotwheels cars) and books, continuing to teach himself to read (he's been doing that since before the age of two! o.O), and being a busy lil boy. He's not potty trained (yet, though we work on it each and every day!). He spends most of his time speaking by echoing what Hubby and I say. We have to work hard at maintaining a rigid schedule during the day, or else we have major meltdowns. But, even with all the hard work we face each minute, each hour, each day, I wouldn't trade it for all the tea in China in all the world. I too have my own issues that I face. I have severe bipolar disorder. I have struggled with this illness for over 5 years, since I stopped working as a licensed social worker. I have lots of experience with children with special needs, because that was my primary area of work back when I was actively working. Never would I realize that I would find myself on the other side of the desk, having to seek for help for not only our angel, but for myself as well. I have severe anxiety issues, and swing big time at the drop of a hat. I have serious problems with social anxiety, and do all I can to avoid contact with others. Having been involved in an abusive marriage previously to meeting Hubby, that really did a number on my head. Anyway.. am not gonna go there... :-) Since becoming disabled, I have tried to find an outlet for my energy when it begins to build up. I have come across the world of PSP, and my newest addiction, digi-scrapping! I am the newest of newbies when it comes to this, but am always on the looksie for treats, treasures, and all sorts of jems to add to my ever-growing collection of scrap stuff and PSP tools. I'm part of many groups via Yahoo and Google in search of tutorials and hopefully friends that would like to take part in tutoring a youngling like myself in the art of digital design. Hopefully, through the use of my newest friend (this here blog of mine), I will be able to meet more folk like myself, and hope to be able to make some good friendships that spread across the miles. I look forward to getting to know those that come to my blog, and will strive hard to update on as regular a basis as possible. Sometimes there might be multiple posts in one day, and sometimes it might be a couple of days between posts. So, if you don't see me in a few days, don't worry. I might just have my hands full with my wee angel. ;-) Thank you for reading this, and please make sure to come back and see what might be new in my new home!
