And now the inside

We finally received the report from our insurance adjuster. Just under $33,000 in damages, at least for now. They may find more as they go along and start repairs. Well, start is a relative term. At this point we still have no check, even initial one to begin repairs. Once we finally get it, we have to have the couple we're buying our house from sign it as well before we're able to get it into the bank. Then, at that point, we have to wait 10-15 days (possibly up to 20 because of the size) for the bank to clear it because it is an insurance check, and the insurance company may decide to yank it and refuse to pay it to us. (Ummm... if that happens, I'm goint so scream!) We are starting to go into the "rainy" season here in East Texas, where we have fronts come through and there's just enough moisture coming up from the Gulf to cause it to rain every couple of days. The glass guy needs dry weather to get the glass installation. The roofing people will need dry weather to put the new roof on. Siding will need it dry too, as well as entire window units that will have to be put in. We'll be lucky to have anything done after Thanksgiving, if not Christmas (then no one will be working).
I'm trying to get things wrapped up to put my whole store on sale at SSB. I need to get something put together for it and upload it to the store, and then anyone and everyone will be able to buy my entire store! At this point this is the only way I can come up with to help offset the $1350 (because they increased our insurance limit this last renewal period) deductible we're having to eat before anyone will begin doing anything for repairs.
I'm stressed beyond limits. My hair is falling out. I don't sleep. I'm so depressed it takes everything I have to get up and get William ready for the day for school. All I want to do is cry, and all anyone around here is doing is praying for rain. I don't want any rain, nor wind, nor hail for a very long time.

More pictures

Just a few more shots of the morning after when we were surveying damage around the house and property. (The second from the top shows the size of the stones upon impact - being the north side of the cabin.. many MANY more along the west side of all buildings) Have MANY more but need to download them from the camera, sort, and go through them. We're dealing with constant, heavy rain from a low pressure system that has developed just south of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and is refusing to move east. So, we're getting wave after wave of rain that we really don't need. We have the house, front porch, and cabin all wrapped up tight like for fumigating against bugs.
We are looking at $1300 in deductible expenses. We've already had to pay out nearly $600 in supplies to fix the water line, tarps, bungie straps, and what seems like miles of rope to secure tarps all around the house. We have a prospective roofer that we're going to hire to work on the roof, porch, cabin, as well as if we need to replace all ceiling tiles with sheetrock inside the house. If that becomes the case, William and I are going to have to relocate to a hotel on a temporary basis because of his allergies and asthma. We so don't need him sick right now, especially since his insurance status continues to be in limbo.
I'm going to be doing a Buy My Store feauture at SSB. We are looking for ways and means to raise money to cover deductible expenses so they can begin working on getting supplies and get going with the house getting fixed. We have just one bid on windows that has processed and come in to us, but that may not happen because they are for glass only, not the full window which we have many damaged, frames and all.
I'm well past character building. My cup runneth over and I care not for a refill on the subject. Hubby has started working nights (first night being tonight) and will be for some time. He's going to see if he can work overtime to make up for not working at all last week. He doesn't think that will be a problem, but we'll just have to wait and see what management has to say on the subject. I so need a good cry, but am too tired, too busy, too stressed to even stop and think about bawling my eyes out. The storms that blew through here at 3am woke me up from a dead sleep (and I'm one heck of a light sleeper) and have been wide awake ever since. Need to make the bed (had to wash the bedclothes) before I can rest this weary head of mine. As I said, I have too much to say grace over.
Please pray for us. I am trying to hard to not ask others for money to help us out, but feel like we're drowning and that this will be come our only option. FEMA won't declare this a federal disaster, and the Red Cross won't help either. I would so like to have life back to normal and my house not looking like a twisted circus before Thanksgiving gets here, but I am really doubting that will be the case.
Ok, I have rattled off so much, think I need to get that bed made before morning gets here. Thank you for reading my ramble, and please continue to pray for us. Will get more pictures as time allows for me to get them off the camera and transfered over to this one (the main one).
